Alissa and I moved to Germany in April, 2012, for her to take a fantastic job in Stuttgart. We do not speak the language. This is the chronicle of our adventures.
The name Hauswirtschaftsleiterin comes directly from the translation of “homemaker”, using Google Translate. It’s not a typical German word, so the meaning may be a bit confusing to a native speaker. It was chosen to represent my initial role here in Germany; cooking, cleaning, shopping, and napping. And traveling. And drinking beer.
